As photographer Bill Allard said after readers responded to his photo of an upset Peruvian shepherd boy whose sheep were killed, "As photographers we're always taking," and once in a while we have a chance to give.
In that spirit, to help improve the lives of others, one-third of the proceeds from the sale of each image are donated to worthy causes.
For example, from the Paris images, to Secours Populaire Français http://www.secourspopulaire.fr/
From the images of Lucky, to Russel Rescue Inc. http://www.russellrescue.com
For the image “City of Light” to http://www.mannasoupkitchen.org/
Over the years viewers have blessed my iconic image "Paris - the Art of Living" as a favorite at auctions benefiting not for profit organizations including Recovery Resources, Friends of Anton , and most recently the Ursuline College Art and Therapy Counseling program's service learning trip to El Salvador.
Thanks to my friend and rep John Rehner for his advice and for the not so occasional donation of a frame, to Bill Allard for his inspiration, and to Dr. Mollie Marti's gift of Giving Thanks, the Art of Tithing that constantly reminds me to pay it forward.
